Overview
You can manage products from your claimed brands on SevenFifty by using our Direct Product Editing feature. When you use this feature, your products will be updated immediately.
This video walks through how to edit products, as outlined in this article:
What You Can Change
You can make changes to your products from two places: a national product record, accessible from the My Portfolio tab, or a product detail page accessible in the Market or by clicking on any distributor’s name in the Distributor’s section of a national product record (more details on the differences between these two pages below).
On either page, you will see a button on the left hand panel to Add tech sheet, an Add product description button or the option Edit description if one already exists, and an Edit image link under the product image.
- Add a tech sheet: Upload a PDF tech sheet for distributors and buyers to access. This tech sheet will display on the product page for distributors or buyers to view or download.
- Add product description/Edit desctipion: Enter in tasting notes of about 150 words or less on the product. Wine scores or ratings are not accepted in this field. This description will be accessible to distributors, buyers, and your team. All users will be able to add this description to sales collateral created on SevenFifty. If a description already exists in this field, you’ll have the option to edit it.
- Edit image: Add a new PNG or JPG image by clicking on the Edit image link. Please see the suggestion guidelines article for best practices and preferred image types.
Note: These edits are specific to a particular vintage. For example, submitting a suggestion with updated product description and image for the 2016 ABC Winery Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley will apply to the 2016 Cabernet from Napa.
If the 2015 ABC Winery Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley is also available, you will also need to update this label and description. Direct product editing is vintage specific as images, blends, vineyard sourcing, and other product information can change from year to year.
What We Can Change
Changes to product names or metadata, including the About the Producer description, ABV, grape variety, region, category, and any other information communicated in the central box on the product detail page (pictured below) are addressed through the Suggest a correction tool. Click here to learn how to submit corrections. Note: you will only see the Suggest correction option appear on product detail pages, and not the national product records.

What Distributors Can Change
Any information below the product description comes directly from the distributors listing the product in question, and can only be changed by the distributors themselves. This includes the following:
- Price
- Sizes and packaging
- SKU number
This also pertains to the product’s availability. If a product is appearing in the Market or under your My Portfolio tab, that means a distributor is listing the product as available in their portfolio on the platform. Additionally, if a product is not appearing in the Market, it may be that the product’s distributor has not subscribed to SevenFifty, or that the distributor has yet to add the product to their portfolio on the platform. If you’d like a product added to or removed from sale, you’ll be best served by reaching out to your contacts at the distributor of that product.
SevenFifty cannot add or remove products to or from a distributor’s portfolio without the distributor’s express permission.
National Product Records vs Product Detail Pages
National product records are the higher-level records from which all distributor listings pull most of the information about the product, including image, description, tech sheets, and all product metadata (ABV, region, appellation, grape varieties, etc.). They will also display all distributors listing the product, and show a pricing grid listing all product listings across all markets, sizes, and prices. These can only be viewed by supplier companies with Portfolio Manager access to SevenFifty for Importers and Producers, via the My Portfolio tab.
Product detail pages are a specific distributor’s listing of the product. Most product information is identical to the national product record, but the listing is region-specific and all sizing and pricing is pulled from the distributor’s data. The “suggest correction” feature only appears on product detail pages.
Product detail pages can be found by searching for the product in the Market. You can also navigate from a national product record to a product detail page by clicking on any distributor name in the “Distributors” section of the record.
Any changes made to a product listing on either a national product record or a product detail page will apply to all versions of that vintage of that product across all distributor portfolios, states, and sizes.
