The Suggest correction feature allows you to update description information or additional data such as product categorization, geography, ABV, raw materials, and more on your products.
How to Submit a Suggested Correction
From the Market tab, click on the button on the top left hand side of the page. Click on the product you would like to update within search results to get to its product detail page.
For Portfolio Manager users, you can also navigate to a product detail page by clicking on a distributor’s name in the Distributors section of the product’s national product record, accessible via the My Portfolio tab. You can read more about navigating these pages here.
On a product detail page, click on the Suggest correction option on the left hand panel.
On the next page, you can update your product with the following information:
- Link to winery or supplier website
- Producer description
- Correction to metadata, such as ABV, grape blends, geography, etc
Updated descriptions can be entered into the Additional Context field. Other notes or questions for our team can also be entered into the Additional Context field.
For full information on best practices and SevenFifty's standards, please review our suggestion guidelines.
Note: Suggestions are specific to a particular vintage. For example, submitting a suggestion with updated product description and image for the 2016 ABC Winery Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley will apply across the country with your distributor partners on this vintage.
If the 2015 ABC Winery Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley is also available, this product will need a different correction if the item needs to be updated. Suggested corrections are vintage specific as blends, images, vineyard sourcing, and other product information can change from year to year.
What can be changed via a suggested correction
A correction can address any errors in product naming or metadata. Our product content team can change the following elements of a product on your behalf, in accordance with our data policy:
- Product or producer names
- Raw materials
- Grape varieties
Product records can be merged by our product content team provided the two products and vintages are identical, and there are only discrepancies in the product name or metadata. To ask that the products be merged, you can submit a correction on the most accurate product listing, and link to the any duplicate product records in the “Additional context” field, asking that they be merged.
What can’t be changed via a suggested correction
The following cannot be changed via a suggested correction, as it is pulled from distributor data, and must be changed by the distributor directly:
- Distributor name
- The supplier/importer field
- Sizing and packaging
- Products can only be added to or removed from the SevenFifty marketplace by the product’s distributor
